Spaghetti Meat Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground chuck
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 large onion or 2 medium onions, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in an extra-large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and green peppers, cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and continue cooking until browned.
- Add ground chuck to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess grease from the meat.
- Stir in all the seasoning and spices, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the browned ground chuck.
- Add the diced and crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and stir well. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for 7 to 8 minutes, or according to package instructions. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the boiling water to prevent sticking.
- Drain the cooked pasta and mix it with the prepared sauce.
