Spaghetti Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground chuck
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion or 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons minced parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in an extra-large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and green peppers, cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until softened.
  2. Add minced garlic and continue cooking until browned.
  3. Add ground chuck to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess grease from the meat.
  4. Stir in all the seasoning and spices, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the browned ground chuck.
  5. Add the diced and crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine.
  6. Pour in the tomato sauce and stir well. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 1 hour.
  7. Meanwhile, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for 7 to 8 minutes, or according to package instructions. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the boiling water to prevent sticking.
  8. Drain the cooked pasta and mix it with the prepared sauce.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
