Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Crisco shortening
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 5 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups macadamia nuts

Instructions:

  1. Begin by creaming together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, and Crisco until light and fluffy.
  2. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Cover the dough and refrigerate for a minimum of 2-3 hours to allow it to firm up.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. To ensure even baking, rotate the baking sheets halfway through the baking time.
  11. Once baked, allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. Enjoy the delightful combination of white chocolate and macadamia nut flavors in every bite!

Note: This recipe yields a generous amount of cookies, making it perfect for freezing half of the batch for future indulgence. Simply store the baked cookies in an airtight container or freezer bag for later enjoyment.
