Steak Stir-Fried Ramen Recipe

Steak Stir-Fried Ramen

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz thinly sliced steak
  • 8-10 shrimp, tail-off and deveined
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 Bok choy leaves, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup matchstick carrots
  • 2 packs instant ramen, seasoning packet discarded

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the sauce by combining soy sauce, water, Chinese cooking wine, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. Cook the steak slices on each side until browned, approximately 1 minute per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. If needed, add a little more oil to the skillet. Add chopped bell pepper, sliced onion, Bok choy pieces, and matchstick carrots. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables begin to soften and develop a slight char.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they form a “C” shape and turn pink, about 3 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the steak and vegetables. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the instant ramen noodles according to package instructions. Discard the seasoning packets.
  7. Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Serve the steak stir-fried ramen hot and enjoy!
