Beef Curry Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 kg stewing beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 cup plain yoghurt (optional)
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp supreme curry powder
- 1 tsp rogan josh paste
- 1 stock cube
- ΒΌ cup Cape Malay curry cook-in sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup water

- Marinate the Beef: Combine the beef with the curry paste and plain yoghurt. Allow it to marinate for 2 hours.
- Prepare the Base: Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, curry powder, and paprika. Stir and cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
- Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the onion mixture. Stir over medium-high heat for a few minutes until the meat is browned.
- Simmer: Add 1 cup of water and the stock cube. Cover the pot with a lid, stirring occasionally. Cook on medium heat for an hour.
- Finalize the Curry: Stir in the tomato paste and Cape Malay cook-in sauce. Continue to cook for a few more minutes until the beef is tender and cooked through. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
