Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups white sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (6-ounce) package milk chocolate chips
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the chocolate chips to the saucepan and cook until fully melted, continuing to stir.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the marshmallows, vanilla extract, and chopped nuts until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into an 8-inch pan, spreading it evenly.
  5. Allow the fudge to cool, then cut it into squares.
