Potato, Chorizo, Tomato, and Béchamel Gratin Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 200 g chorizo, sliced
- 200 g tomatoes, sliced
- 200 g grated cheese (Gruyère, Emmental, etc.)
- 50 g butter
- 50 g flour
- 500 ml milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Paprika (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare the Béchamel Sauce:
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour and stir continuously to form a roux.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
- Simmer until the sauce thickens, then season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the Gratin:
- Butter a gratin dish.
- Layer the potato slices, chorizo, and tomatoes alternately in the dish.
- Pour the béchamel sauce evenly over the layers.
- Add Cheese and Spices:
- Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
- Add a dash of paprika if you prefer a bit of spice.
- Bake:
- Place the gratin in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- The dish is ready when the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Serve: Serve the gratin hot and enjoy!
