Easy Air Fryer Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

Ingredients

For the Cheeseburger Egg Roll Filling:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking the ground beef)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¼ cup yellow onion, diced
  • ⅓ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ⅓ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup pickles, diced
  • ½ cup cooked bacon crumbles
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ teaspoon olive oil (for brushing egg rolls)

For the Dipping Sauce:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ⅓ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Prepare the Dipping Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  2. Cover and refrigerate the sauce while you prepare the cheeseburger egg rolls.

Prepare the Egg Roll Filling:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and diced onions.
  2. Cook, breaking up the beef into crumbles, until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are soft (about 10 minutes).
  3. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, pickles, bacon crumbles, and American cheese. Stir until well combined and the cheese has melted.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until the filling thickens. Remove from heat.

Assemble and Cook the Egg Rolls:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and set the timer for 10 minutes.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat and moisten the outer edges with water. Place 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture in the center.
  3. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold the outer left and right edges in, and roll up tightly.
  4. Brush the outside of the egg rolls with olive oil.
  5. Place the egg rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Serve:

  1. Remove the egg rolls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
  2. Serve warm with the prepared dipping sauce.
