Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and black pepper
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 packet of baking powder

Filling

  • Cheese (any type you have available)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix the milk, cream, and eggs using a hand mixer. Add the butter, salt, black pepper, and sugar, and continue mixing. Gradually add the flour, poppy seeds, and baking powder, ensuring the mixture is well combined.
  2. Rest the Batter: Allow the batter to rest for a short while before cooking.
  3. Cook the Pastries: Using a specialized skillet, pour a portion of the batter to form the first pastry. Once it’s cooked, pour another portion for the second pastry. Place the cheese filling between the two pastries and let it cook thoroughly.
