Artisanal Recipe: How to Make Homemade Condensed Milk
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of milk powder
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
Directions:
- In a pot, combine the sugar and water over medium-low heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Be careful not to let the mixture boil or brown.
- Once the sugar is dissolved, transfer the mixture to a blender, preferably in a glass jar. Blend for about a minute until smooth.
- Add the vanilla essence to the blender and blend again until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the milk powder to the blender, continuing to blend until smooth and creamy.
- Blend the mixture for about five minutes, pausing every minute for 30 seconds to prevent the blender from straining.
- If the mixture is too thick, you can add 2 or 3 tablespoons of additional water while blending.
- Once the condensed milk is smooth and creamy, transfer it to a clean glass jar. Let it cool to room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator.
