Perfect Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- A pinch of salt
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon raw cocoa powder
- Optional: white icing
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine yeast, sugar, warm milk, and egg. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Gradually add flour and salt, kneading until the dough comes together.
- Mix in softened butter and continue kneading until smooth. Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder over the buttered dough.
- Roll up the dough tightly into a log and cut into medium-sized pieces.
- Place the rolls on a greased baking tray. Let them rise again for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- If desired, drizzle with white icing or add toppings like chocolate, Nutella, caramel, or any preferred sauce.
- Enjoy warm and fresh!
