Perfect Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • A pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon raw cocoa powder
  • Optional: white icing

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yeast, sugar, warm milk, and egg. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Gradually add flour and salt, kneading until the dough comes together.
  3. Mix in softened butter and continue kneading until smooth. Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder over the buttered dough.
  6. Roll up the dough tightly into a log and cut into medium-sized pieces.
  7. Place the rolls on a greased baking tray. Let them rise again for about 10 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  10. If desired, drizzle with white icing or add toppings like chocolate, Nutella, caramel, or any preferred sauce.
  11. Enjoy warm and fresh!
