Delicious Soft Pastry Recipe 🤤
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 egg (reserve yolk for topping)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
- 3-4 potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons milk
- Chopped parsley
For the Topping:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine milk, water, yeast, and sugar. Stir until yeast is dissolved. Add oil and the egg (excluding the yolk), mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt, kneading until a soft dough forms. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
- For the filling, mix mashed potatoes with butter, salt, milk, and chopped parsley until smooth.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide into 3 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a square shape.
- Spread the potato filling evenly over each dough square. Roll up each square tightly into a log.
- Cut each log into pieces using a dough cutter.
- Place the shaped pastries on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix the egg yolk and milk for the topping, then brush it over the pastries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
