Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless chicken thighs, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp cornstarch, plus 1 tsp
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix the chicken strips with salt, pepper, and 2 tbsp of cornstarch until the chicken is evenly coated.
- In another bowl, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and 1 tsp cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for about 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the prepared broth and honey mixture. Allow the sauce to simmer, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, and the chicken is fully cooked through.
- Stir in chili flakes and chopped parsley. Remove from heat.
- Serve the honey garlic chicken over rice, garnished with additional parsley if desired. Enjoy your meal!
