Mouth-watering Cookies Recipe That Melts in Your Mouth
Ingredients:
- 200 ml water (or 1 cup) milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 pack vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 150 g melted butter
- 3 cups + 1 tablespoon flour
For Rolling:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
For Sprinkling:
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and dry yeast. Mix well.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, melted butter, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Continue mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a dough forms that doesn’t stick to your hands. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough using a rolling pin. Sprinkle half of the granulated sugar evenly over the dough, then fold the dough over itself. Sprinkle the remaining granulated sugar and fold again to form a square shape.
- Roll out the dough again and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into squares.
- Transfer the cookies to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
