Crunchy Sherbet Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 water glass (200 ml) size water
  • 125 g softened butter or margarine, at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tea glass of semolina (100 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1/2 water glass finely ground walnuts
  • 1 packet of vanilla (8g)
  • 1 packet of baking powder (10g)
  • 1.5 cups of flour

For the Sherbet:

  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 slice of lemon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sherbet:

    In a suitable pot, combine sugar and water. Mix well and bring to a boil over medium heat.

    Once boiling, add a slice of lemon and continue boiling for 7 minutes until slightly thickened. Allow the sherbet to cool completely.

  2. Prepare the Dough:

    In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, egg, tahini, finely ground walnuts, semolina, vanilla, baking powder, and flour.

    Knead the ingredients together until you form a soft dough.

  3. Shape and Bake:

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

    Take walnut-sized pieces of dough and shape them as desired, making slight indentations with a knife.

    Arrange the shaped desserts on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

    Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  4. Assemble:

    Remove the hot desserts from the oven and pour the cooled sherbet over them while they are still warm.
