Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until fully browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese until well combined. If using, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  5. Fill and Roll: Place a generous tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end towards the point and arrange the crescents on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 11-13 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.
  7. Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!
