- 300g plain flour
- 5ml warm milk
- 5g dry yeast
- 1g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1g salt
- Hazelnut cream
- Sugar for sprinkling
Instructions:
- Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Activate the yeast: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the warm milk, sugar, egg, and dry yeast until well blended.
- Mix and knead: Gradually pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients. Knead until a soft, smooth dough forms.
- First rise: Shape the dough into a ball, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Portion the dough: Once risen, divide the dough into small portions and roll each one into a ball. Let them rest for 20 minutes.
- Shape and fill: Flatten each dough ball into a rectangle with rounded edges. Place a small amount of hazelnut cream in the center using a pastry bag. Pinch the edges together, then shape the dough into a circle to form a donut. Allow them to rest for another 20 minutes.
- Fry the donuts: Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry the donuts for about 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
- Finishing touch: Sprinkle each donut with sugar while still warm and serve.
