Delicious Meat-Filled Triangles: A Savory Recipe to Try
Ingredients
- 10 sheets of phyllo dough
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 400g minced meat (beef or lamb)
- 50g noodles
- Fresh coriander, chopped
- Spices: salt, pepper, turmeric, ground coriander, cinnamon
- Melted butter, for brushing
- Cream cheese, for filling
Instructions
- Heat a small amount of oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until soft and translucent.
- Add the minced meat to the pan, seasoning generously with salt, pepper, turmeric, ground coriander, and cinnamon. Stir well to coat the meat with the spices.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is fully cooked.
- Meanwhile, soak the noodles in hot water for 3-4 minutes until softened. Drain, then cut them into smaller pieces with kitchen scissors.
- Add the chopped noodles and fresh coriander to the meat mixture, stirring to combine.
- Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface. Brush lightly with melted butter. Place a spoonful of the meat and noodle filling onto the dough and add a small dollop of cream cheese.
- Fold the phyllo sheet to form a triangle, sealing the edges with a bit of egg white to hold it together.
- Place the filled triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then brush the tops with more melted butter.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serve warm and enjoy your flavorful meat-filled triangles!
