  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Five-Spice Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon White Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar or Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking Spray or Oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, five-spice powder, white pepper, sugar, and minced garlic. Add chicken thighs and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) while the chicken marinates.
  3. Place marinated chicken thighs skin side up in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 15 minutes.
  4. Check for doneness; the skin should be golden and crispy, and the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  5. Remove from air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
