Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 170g sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 280g all-purpose flour
- 10ml Marsala wine
- 100g whole almonds
- Zest of one orange
- 30g soft butter
- A pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk (for brushing)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until smooth and well-incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
- Incorporate the butter into the dough, kneading until fully combined.
- Add the whole almonds, Marsala wine, and orange zest, mixing them evenly into the dough.
