- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried dill)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a small amount of olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin-side down if applicable.
- Generously spread the lemon dill butter mixture over each salmon fillet, ensuring an even coating.
- If desired, place lemon slices on top of the salmon for added flavor and garnish.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
- Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Carefully transfer the salmon fillets to serving plates, spooning any remaining lemon dill butter from the baking dish over the top.
Notes
- Serve with a side of vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
- Adjust the seasoning based on your preference.
