Easy Balsamic Glazed Steak Tips and Mushrooms: An Incredible 5-Star Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized tips
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini work well)
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak tips with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak tips to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and thyme. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the balsamic vinegar, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return the cooked steak tips to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce and heat through for another minute.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
