Blue and White Oreo Cake is a delicious dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Blue food coloring
  • Crushed Oreo cookies for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth and no lumps remain.
  5. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies for that delightful crunch.
  6. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the cakes to cool in their pans for about 10 minutes. Then, gently transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined. Add blue food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
  10. Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving platter. Spread a layer of blue frosting on top, then add the second layer of cake. Frost the top and sides of the entire cake with the blue frosting.
  11. For an extra touch, sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies on top of the cake.

Notes
