This Caramelized Spam and Eggs recipe transforms your morning with savory Spam, fluffy eggs, and rice—a Hawaiian breakfast you’ll love.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 dash White Pepper
  • 12 oz Spam, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 cups Cooked White Rice
  • 1 tablespoon Furikake
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fried Garlic

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce with 1 tablespoon of water until fully combined. Set aside.
  2. Crack 2 large eggs into a bowl and whisk vigorously. Add a pinch of salt and a dash of white pepper.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat, add a drizzle of oil, pour in the whisked eggs, and cook gently for 2-3 minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium and add 12 ounces of diced Spam. Cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Once the Spam is browned, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar evenly and toss. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and stir together. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. To plate, place cooked white rice on each plate and top with glazed Spam and fluffy scrambled eggs. Garnish with fried garlic, furikake, and chopped green onion.
