Cheddar Cheese Quick Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or spray a loaf pan to prepare it.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and salt. Once well combined, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Set this mixture aside.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Blend Wet and Dry Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to over mix.
- Prepare for Baking: Spoon or pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake: Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is a golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, remove the loaf from the pan, slice, and serve.
