Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, and maple extract until smooth.
  2. Add the egg and mix thoroughly until incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, baking soda, and fine salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Cover the bowl tightly and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop 1.5-ounce balls of dough onto the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are puffy.
  9. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Melt white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring in 30-second increments until smooth.
  11. Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  12. Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate over cookies and add sprinkles while still wet.
  13. Allow chocolate to set completely at room temperature before serving.
