  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken strips and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until tender and browned, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, Dijon mustard, chicken broth, and flour. Mix well to combine.
  6. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in the sour cream until fully combined.

  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, consider adding a dollop of cream cheese along with the sour cream.
  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Prepare the sauce ahead of time and reheat before serving.
  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
