Chocolate Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 100 grams of butter
- 175 grams of sugar
- 1 egg
- A pinch of salt
- A few drops of vanilla essence
- 200 grams of flour
- 4 grams of baking powder
- 100 grams of chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Cream the Butter and Sugar: Beat the butter (at room temperature) with the sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy. Add the vanilla essence, a pinch of salt, and the egg. Mix until well combined.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Sift the flour with the baking powder, then gradually incorporate it into the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips. Form the dough into a ball without overworking it. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Shape and Bake: Roll out the dough to a thickness of about half a centimeter. Cut into circles and place them on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 190°C (374°F) for approximately 10 minutes. You’ll know the cookies are done when the edges are slightly golden. Avoid letting them brown on top to prevent them from becoming too hard once cooled.
- Rest and Roll: Allow the dough to rest in the refrigerator to help it maintain its shape during baking. When rolling out the dough, use a little flour on the counter to prevent sticking, but be careful not to use too much, as this can make the cookies tough.
- Chocolate Options: You can use store-bought chocolate chips or chop up chocolate bars for a more homemade touch.
Enjoy your freshly baked chocolate cookies!
