Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Cream Trifle
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (additional)
- 3 large bananas, sliced
- 1 box (14.4 oz) graham crackers, crushed
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Peanut butter cups, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, whip together the heavy cream, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Prepare the Pudding: Follow the package instructions to prepare the chocolate pudding mix using the 2 cups of cold milk. Chill until set.
- Peanut Butter Mixture: In a separate bowl, beat the creamy peanut butter with the additional 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
- Assemble the Trifle: In a large trifle dish, start with a layer of crushed graham crackers. Follow with a layer of chocolate pudding, then a layer of sliced bananas, and a layer of whipped cream.
- Add Peanut Butter: Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the whipped cream layer and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
- Layering: Repeat the layering process until the dish is full, ending with a layer of whipped cream.
- Garnish: Top the trifle with chopped peanut butter cups and a few more mini chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate: Chill the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
