Ingredients
Scale
1 box White Cake Mix
1 cup Water
1 cup Cranberry Sauce
1 container Whipped Topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix and water until smooth. Pour into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes.
Poke holes evenly across the cake surface with a skewer, about an inch apart.
Pour cranberry sauce over the top of the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Spread whipped topping generously over the cranberry layer.
Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Slice the chilled cake into squares and garnish with fresh cranberries or a sprig of mint.
Notes
Consider making a homemade cake mix for a personal touch.
Ensure water is at room temperature for even mixing.
Store-bought cranberry sauce is convenient, but homemade elevates flavor.
Substitute whipped topping with fresh whipped cream for an indulgent twist.
