Classic Banana Bread: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt until well combined.
  5. Add the sugar and mix until fully integrated.
  6. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Gently mix in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
  8. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts and/or chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Remove from the oven and let the bread cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
