Classic Banana Nut Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard loaf pan or prepare mini loaf pans.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs until well combined, then stir in the mashed bananas.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the vanilla extract and chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan(s), spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour for a standard loaf, or 35 to 45 minutes for mini loaves, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy this classic banana nut bread warm or at room temperature.
