Classic Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients:
- 3 cups dry elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 (370 mL/12 oz) cans evaporated milk
- 1/3 cup milk (of your choice)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika

1. Begin by bringing a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and the elbow macaroni, cooking until it reaches al dente texture. Drain and return the macaroni to the pot.
2. Add the salted butter to the drained macaroni, stirring until melted. Set aside.
3. In a separate large bowl, combine the evaporated milk, milk, eggs, and garlic salt until thoroughly mixed.
4. In another bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
6. Begin layering the macaroni and cheese in the prepared baking pan: start with 1/3 of the macaroni, followed by 1/3 of the cheese mixture. Repeat until all macaroni and cheese are used up.
7. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the macaroni and cheese layers. Sprinkle the paprika evenly on top.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
