Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of rye bread
  • 1 pound of thinly sliced corned beef
  • 1 cup of drained sauerkraut
  • 8 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup of Russian dressing
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Skillet: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of bread.
    • On four slices of bread, layer the corned beef, sauerkraut, and two slices of Swiss cheese.
    • Place the remaining slices of bread on top, dressing side down.
  3. Grill the Sandwiches:
    • Butter the outside of each sandwich.
    • Grill on the preheated skillet until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Serve: Cut the sandwiches in half and serve hot.
