Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a rich and velvety dish featuring pasta coated in a savory sauce made with garlic and Parmesan cheese. This comforting classic is easy to prepare, making it perfect for weeknights or special occasions and can be customized with various additions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh Italian parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss well to ensure all the pasta is coated with the creamy sauce.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. If desired, sprinkle in some red pepper flakes for added heat.
  8. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

  • Freeze for up to 2 months; thaw and reheat on the stove with a splash of cream or pasta water.
