Crispy Fried Chicken Wing Flats with a Honey Lemon Pepper Drizzle
INGREDIENTS:
- 8-10 Chicken wings, split into drums and flats if preferred
- 2 cups Vegetable oil, for frying
Seasoning/Breading:
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Seasoning salt
- 2 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Black pepper
Lemon Pepper Honey:
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 tbsp Lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Liberally season chicken wings with all the listed seasonings, ensuring each wing is evenly coated.
Toss the seasoned wings in the flour mixture until they are evenly coated.
Gently place the wings in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet.
While the wings fry, combine honey, lemon pepper seasoning, and fresh lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a light boil, then remove from heat.
Fry the wings for approximately 7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Once fried, remove the wings from the oil and drain them on a rack or paper towels to remove excess oil.
Allow the wings to sit for about 5 minutes to let the breading settle.
Drizzle the warm lemon pepper honey over the crispy chicken wings.
Serve and enjoy these delicious and flavorful wings!
