- In a large bowl, whisk together the sifted flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, combine the melted butter, warm milk, and egg yolks, stirring until well mixed.
- In a third bowl, beat the egg whites with a hand mixer until soft peaks form.
- Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir with a rubber spatula until just blended. Then, gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
- Heat an 8-inch (20 cm) nonstick skillet over low heat. Pour 1 ½ cups of pancake batter into the skillet, smoothing out the top, and cover with a lid.
- Cook until the pancake is golden brown on the bottom and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, approximately 20 minutes.
- Transfer the pancake to a plate and repeat the process to make three more pancakes with the remaining batter.
