For the Rice Pilaf:

  • Start by cooking the rice in coconut water for an extra tropical touch.
  • Add in toasted pineapples, a sprinkle of seasoning, a dash of sugar, and a pinch of pepper for flavor.
  • Finish off with a generous garnish of fresh parsley for that vibrant finish.

The Signature Sauce:

  • 1 chopped yellow onion
  • 6 stalks of chopped green onions
  • 3/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped (or substitute with scotch bonnet pepper for extra heat)
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine the green onions, yellow onion, jalapeno, soy sauce, vinegar, vegetable oil, brown sugar, thyme, kosher salt, cinnamon, cloves, and ground spices. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and cook for about a minute on each side until perfectly seared. Pour the sauce over the steak to coat evenly, then remove from heat.
  3. Cook the shrimp for approximately 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Pour the shrimp sauce over them, allowing the flavors to meld together for a tantalizing taste experience.
  4. For an added burst of flavor and texture, sauté some onions and peppers to accompany the dish.

Indulge in this exquisite fusion of flavors and textures, where every bite is a culinary adventure bursting with tropical goodness!
