Garlic Butter Green Beans: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the green beans under cold water and trim the ends.
  2. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a pinch of salt for flavor.
  3. Once boiling, add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until just tender.
  4. Prepare a bowl of ice water. After blanching, transfer the green beans to the ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a few minutes, then drain.
  5. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  6. Once the butter is melted and bubbly, add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but do not let it brown.
  7. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet. Toss them in the garlic butter until evenly coated.
  8. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. If desired, add lemon juice for a fresh zing.
  9. Remove from heat and transfer the green beans to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley, if using.
