Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through.
Once the shrimp are cooked, add the drained pasta to the skillet. Pour in the lemon juice and toss everything together to combine well.
Add the chopped parsley and toss again. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Remove from heat and serve immediately. Top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
