2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Flatten each piece and place mozzarella cheese in the center. Fold the dough around the cheese and shape into a knot.
In a small bowl, mix garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Brush the knots with the egg wash and sprinkle with the garlic mixture.
