Gourmet Chicken Alfredo Pasta Bake
Classic Chicken Alfredo Pasta Casserole
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces cavatappi or penne pasta
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, cut into small cubes
- 2 ½ cups diced cooked chicken breast or chicken thighs
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add garlic and Italian seasoning and cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously.
- Add heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened; do not boil.
- Reduce heat to low, gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add cream cheese and stir until melted.
- In a greased baking dish, combine cooked pasta, alfredo sauce, and cooked chicken. Spread evenly.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with chopped parsley.
