Gourmet Tuna-Stuffed Deviled Eggs
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can of tuna, drained and flaked
- 2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish, drained
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon white sugar (optional)
- ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 ½ tablespoons mayonnaise, or as needed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 pinch of paprika, for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the Eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let the eggs stand in the hot water for 15 minutes. Afterward, transfer the eggs to cold running water to cool, then peel them.
- Prepare the Filling: Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks, placing them in a small bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in the tuna, pickle relish, mustard, sugar (if using), and onion powder. Gradually stir in the mayonnaise until the mixture achieves a creamy yet firm consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble: Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter. Spoon the tuna mixture into the egg white halves and sprinkle with paprika.
