Green Bean Casserole: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for about 5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  4. Add the cooked green beans to the soup mixture and stir to coat the beans evenly.
  5. Gently fold in half of the French fried onions into the mixture for added crunch and flavor.
  6. Pour the green bean mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top of the casserole.
  8. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the onions are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
