Irresistible Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
Ingredients:
- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Directions:
- Cut each mozzarella cheese stick in half to make 24 pieces.
- In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each mozzarella stick piece in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured mozzarella sticks into the beaten eggs, ensuring even coating.
- Roll the egg-coated sticks in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line another baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the frozen mozzarella sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
