Lazy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 15.25-ounce box yellow cake mix
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 5 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 12-ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. For best results, use a spray that contains flour.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the dry cake mix with the melted butter and beaten eggs. Using an electric or stand mixer is recommended, as the batter will be quite thick.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Spread Batter: Transfer the thick batter into the prepared baking dish. To make this easier, spray your hand with nonstick cooking spray and use your hand to spread the batter evenly.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is puffed up.
- Cool: Allow the cookie bars to cool in the baking dish before cutting and serving.
