2 oz Gruyère cheese, shredded
2 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
4 slices sourdough bread or brioche
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)
Pinch of salt and pepper
1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
Prepare Lobster Filling: In a small mixing bowl, gently combine lobster meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, chives, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt and pepper until uniformly blended.
Butter Bread Slices: Arrange bread slices on a clean surface. Evenly spread unsalted butter on one side of each slice.
Add Cheese Layers: Distribute half of both Gruyère and cheddar cheeses onto the unbuttered sides of two bread slices.
Add Lobster Mixture: Spoon the lobster filling evenly over the cheese layers. Top each portion with the remaining shredded cheeses.
Assemble Sandwiches: Place the remaining bread slices over each sandwich, ensuring the buttered sides face outward.
