These Maid-Rite sliders are a simple and satisfying twist on a classic loose meat sandwich. Tender, seasoned ground beef is piled into soft slider buns, topped with melty cheese, and baked to golden perfection. They’re perfect for feeding a crowd or enjoying a comforting weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15 recommended)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 12-pack slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices cheddar or American cheese, halved
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard (optional, for spreading)
  • Pickle slices (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are tender. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder (if using), salt, pepper, and beef broth. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the liquid reduces. Remove from heat.
  3. Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  4. Spoon the seasoned loose meat mixture evenly over the bottom buns.
  5. Layer the cheese slices over the beef, then scatter pickle slices on top if desired.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns over the filling.
  7. Mix the melted butter with onion powder and brush it over the tops of the buns.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  9. Let the Maid-Rite sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
