Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • 1 cup Fresh Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 small Onion (finely minced)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Sage
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/2 cup Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, fresh breadcrumbs soaked in milk, minced onion, minced garlic, chopped fresh sage, Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan cheese, and eggs. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll into balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place formed meatballs on a tray.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown. Transfer meatballs to a plate.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add the canned pumpkin puree. Stir in the cream, salt, and pepper, blending until smooth. Simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Gently add the browned meatballs back into the skillet with the pumpkin sauce. Simmer on low heat for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Notes

  • Use a light touch when mixing ingredients to keep the meatballs tender.
  • Pan-fry meatballs to achieve a golden crust and enhance flavor.
  • Chill the meatball mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes before cooking to help with shaping.
  • Avoid overcooking the meatballs to ensure they remain moist and succulent.
  • For quicker cooking, use separate pans to prepare more meatballs in less time.
