Mini Meatball Marinara Bites are a delicious appetizer perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Using your hands, shape the mixture into mini meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs and sauce.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
