Mom’s Butter Baked Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Chicken: Pour a small amount of evaporated milk into a dish, just enough to dip the chicken breasts. Dip each piece of chicken in the milk, then roll it in the flour mixed with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Chicken: Melt the butter in a 13×9 inch baking pan. Place the floured chicken breasts in the pan and bake for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the remaining evaporated milk, the can of Cream of Chicken soup, and 1/4 cup of water.
- Add the Sauce: After the initial 30 minutes of baking, turn the chicken breasts over and pour the soup mixture over them.
- Bake to Perfection: Continue baking for another 30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked.
